Want shroud of despair on the Sorceress, tie up units and controlled with DRs then plow all the monsters up a flank. Simples...

Drop the Hydras for more fliers. More maneuvarability means that they get where they want to be faster. Plus Hydras aren't really as good as the Kharibdii?/Kharibdysses?, having lost hatred and regen.

Hydras aren't as good as they were but they are in Special and they were amazingly good before. I still think they are decent given you can have so many Monsters in a list now.

I would have to drop 2 Hydras for 1 flying monster which would only be a Manticore I don't see that as a good trade off.

So here's a change I was thinking of. Morathi just seems ludicrously over powered particularly if she get shroud of despair. Plow into a chaff unit. Tell it to take 4 LD tests at -5 for the first one and then an extra -1 for each after for each fail every unit nearby takes -1 Ld. Then smash unit and watch their entire army flee the table. So here goes:

I'll take that as a compliment yeah that's the version I think I'll go with. Completely different to any army I already have. I do like the shooty version though. And an Executioner star just appeals. The no Warlocks in this list also makes me sad

could always drop 1 hydra for a unit to compliment morathi.

i think i prefer it with the locks in there.

A) because you wanted a unit
B) because i think its worth taking a unit, gives the opponent another threat to think about in the magic phase rather than just making the easy decision to stop morathi.
C) OCD says 6 monsters, 2 of each is far better than 7.

Yeah that gives me serious magical offense.

Morathi is ludicrous with potentially +8 to cast. Save last dice to cast power of darkness if that generates 2-3 dice chuck them into a Wyssans, soulblight or Doom bolt from the Warlocks or Scroll caddy.

Still has 6 big beasties and Morathi who's like a mini monster. Shroud of despair on her breaks the game.

With that sort of magical offense I might even get a spell off once a game...
