Smoggycon 2013 will be taking place on November 23rd, at the Southland's Centre in Middlesbrough, running from 10am until 4pm, so is a perfect opportunity for a bit of Xmas shopping! Entry is only £2.50 per person, with free entry for SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed!), and also free entry for the kids (Under 14's)!

Since it's debut in 2009, the show has grown into one of the best in the north-east. This year Pendraken Miniatures have taken on the organisation, and are proud to be taking the show forward. We are also pleased that Middlesbrough Gamers Club have agreed to help us out on the day, running the Flea Market and providing much needed manpower!

With over 30 traders present, providing for a wide variety of genre's and scales, there is sure to be something for everyone. There is also a mix of display and participation games, encompassing wargaming, modelling and RPG'ing! This year, Middlesbrough Gamers Club will be putting on a Warmachine & Hordes participation games throughout the day.

The Flea Market is a great option for any unwanted goodies, where for only £1 per half hour slot, you can sell as much as you like, with no commission at all! You can deal directly with the buyers, answer any questions they may have, and also keep an eye on your goods. Once your time is up (or better still, you’ve sold everything!), you can walk away, cash in hand, and enjoy the rest of the show! For any fans of the Impetus ruleset, we will be holding a competition on the day, with winners qualifying for World League Status points.

Flea market idea sounds really fun, I've always to try my hand at being a market stall trader, just for a little while.

I live a stone's throw away from middlesbrough, may have to swing by.

Excellent, be good to see some new folk at the show.

We're hoping to really build it over the next few years into the biggest show in the north-east, so we're hoping for a good turnout for our first time in charge of it!

I live 20 mins away this sounbds like a good thing to come along too !

We can also confirm that WW1 re-enactor group, The Durham Pals, will be joining us on the day with some of their kit. With the centenary coming up next year, it's a great opportunity to pick their brains on the finer details of WW1 equipment!
