I'm just starting an Alpha Legion force and was just wondering if people thought it would be viable (fluff-wise) to get some of my CSM units Marks of Chaos. I intend my army to be 'loyalists' at least on some level, however I wish to include marks of chaos on some units to make it a slightly more competitive army. Thoughts ?

Fluffwise, you can explain the marks in several ways. The mark of nurgle could be portrayted as those big heresy era siege shields. Tzeentch could be stolen mechanicum/xenos forcefield tech. Slannesh = combat stims. They can be explained any number of ways.

While they are singing "what a friend we have in the greater good", we are bringing the pain!

I hadn't thought of that. I was more thinking on the line of including models such as plague marines as a part of my force, but your idea would create awesome conversions opportunities
