This is specifically related to a Salamanders' Assault Centurion Sergeant equipped with a twin-linked meltagun in place of the twin-linked flamer. According to the Salamanders' chapter tactics, any character (including sergeants) may upgrade a single weapon to master-crafted. This would include the twin-linked weapons carried by the Centurions. If the Centurion Sergeant upgraded his meltagun to master-crafted, does this mean he could reroll a failed hit (twin-linked), then reroll an additional failed hit (master-crafted), or do these upgrades not stack?

I direct your attention to page 5 of the Basic Rule book, the section called rerolling.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

TL;DR

no, you can never reroll a reroll (unless SPECIFICALLY states so in a codex)

I have half a mind to kill you, and the other half agrees

Also it may be more useful having one over the other. iirc one is better than the other if you happen to be rolling to hit more than once, like shooting twice.
