Subject: New airbrush tip...now its blowing back (ponder)

So, I have the Badger Krome.
Something happened a couple weeks ago and the original tip that came with it got damaged.
I emailed Badger, and they told me which tip I needed to replace my broken tip. They said it was the Ultra Fine.
Got it in the mail, and have been trying to make it work.
So, I set the tip in the brush, screw in the "cap" that holds it in, and adjust my needle.
All I get is blow-back into the gravity cup.
If I take the needle out, I still get blow back into the cup.
If I take the tip itself out, the air flows fine out of the brush as it's supposed to.
If I put the needle in, without the tip, it blows air out as it's supposed to.
And yes, my brush is clean...so no clogs anywhere (I'm very meticulous with cleaning it!).
So.....
Do you think that they perhaps told me the wrong tip size for my brush, and that it should be one step lower (Fine)?
Because if it's an Ultra Fine tip, I would need an Ultra Fine needle and "cap" to fit....correct? And if I don't have all of that...then would the tip itself be preventing air flow because it's too small?
Thanks for the thoughts.

Do you have the other needle and cap from the set you get?? If so try them and see what happens.. Although if you put a fine needle in a ultra fine nozzle you might have damaged it..

Not sure what happened to the needle, but any chance the nozzle is damaged?

I have looked at the nozzle/tip and I don't see anything wrong with it in any way.

There are more than once size of needles you can use in a krome, you might not be using your ultra fine (yeah, I hate that, just give me measurements) tip with your fine needle.
When you put the needle in, does it stick out of the tip?
