This is for school league, and it's my first time, so I'm not so sure on this list. Chose a scarab list, as I've had huge success in friendlies running swarm scarabs.

HQ: Overlord w/ Warscythe and Res Orb

Troops:

8 warriors (will have overlord with them)
7 warriors
7 warriors

Fast Attack:

6 canoptek scarab swarms
6 canoptek scarab swarms

No idea how this army does well. But it does. Especially agains swarm and tank heavy armies. Any advice?

Wow... 600 points is tiny. I'm not familiar with School league. Can you remind me of the rules? Particularly what kinds of missions will you be using?


Here's what I'd do if I was starting.
I'd add Mindschackle scarabs and Semieternal Weave, and Phaeron on the Overlord.
I'd go with 2 units of warriors. One big blob with the Overlord, and a small 5 man or so unit in the back.
I really like the scarabs, but 1 squad of 8 should be enough for what you need them to do.
I'd also add a Harbinger of the Storm cryptek to the list. They are murder on vehicles, and they get some very nice anti-assault shooting.

Drop the res orb for mss and 2+ on the lord, or move a squad of 7 warriors to that group of 8

Res orbs only begin being cost efficient when you take at least 15 warriors otherwise your better off getting more warriors.

Also, MSS is currently one of the best pieces of wargear in game since you can turn even the strongest beatstick into a silly goose smacking himself silly
