I´m not entirely sure how to resolve this ability. It says that you gain the boni for one round.
So do I gain x Strength and can hit hard in my next activation too or do I lose my bonus stats after my enemy tried to chew through my enhanced armor?

The effects of one-round duration effects expire as soon as the next turn of the player whose turn in which they were caused starts.

I'm not sure you understood the answer.

The effect lasts a round. The easiest way to think of it is that it lasts until your turn comes back around. So yes, it will be active during your opponents turn but end as soon as your next turn starts. Note that the +STR is only from models killed during his activation, even though it lasts past his activation.
