Ok so I want to find out a little bit more about my favourite villains in the comics and I was wondering but can anyone direct me to key comics or graphic novels featuring Batman with Mr.Freeze and Scarecrow (in separate story's though as I doubt that both villains will be in the same story) and where to get these comics/Graphic novels. Also I do not want the new 52 batman, as I have read a few of them, but I could not get fully interested into them.

All help is very much appreciated

Cheers to all comments

Scarecrow appears, at least briefly, in The Long Halloween, which is also one of the best Batman comics ever. I got my copy off Amazon.

The sequel to this, Dark Victory, has both the Scarecrow and Mr. Freeze in it. Also on Amazon.

I don't follow either of those villains very much so that's the best I have.

Off the top of my head there is one called Mr. Freeze, and as I understand it the first Gotham Central tpb has Mr. Freeze in a small but important role.

I think there is a tpb collection of Scarecrow stories, but it is out of print.

Edit: It is called Scarecrow Tales, but may be tough to find. There is also a one shot called Joker's Asylum: Scarecrow. You can probably find the individual comic or get Joker's Asylum Vol 1 tpb, which has the issue, and several other villain short stories.

old now -- which makes me feel really old -- so bits of the origins will have changed a wee bit.

and the next issue are both regarded well.

lovely art, well worth picking up if one can.

Aside from that I'd recommend looking at the Dini era Batman the animated series

good stories, well told and the revamped origin they gave him in

which is bloody great and nigh on essential viewing.

might be of some help.

Sub Zero is really great though

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
