Ok here's my Swarmlord, I think I've overdone with the primer, mostly the ribs around head and the arm over the elbows. It's been a while since the last time I primed minis but I ussually went for a very thin coat and this looks like too much for me.
Is it too much? And if so, how bad is it? Thanks in advance.

I can't see anything problematic there, but it's pretty hard to see. If you're not happy with it, stripping it isn't that hard and would be better than having a good model that you're unhappy with. I'd be more irritated by the gap between the pieces of the shoulder prongy things though ; p

It doesn't look like a very smooth finish. What kind of prime is this?

Depends on the final paint scheme really...if its smooth with a lot of continuous tones, then you might feel it has lost detail.
If its a mottled or with a lot of various highlights, drybrushes etc, then you might not notice.
best of luck!

Stripping is an option but I see it as quite the hassle, I'd have to use brake fluid which you have to utilise also you can ruin the model too. I found simple green only in one place around but they only sell large quanities of concentrated form, can't justify the purchase atm. As for photo I'll try to take a better one in daylight.

Yes I know it's crapy assembled, it was a fast, desperate attempt as I have very little time for model work but wanted to finaly field the guy after a year in the drawer. Not to mention there's brand new Flyrant, Tervigon, Mawloc, Tyrant Guard, Tyrannofex - based Old One Eye and tons of Termagants in the line, the irritation just blew my mind and you see the effects. Tbh though I'm kind of used to gaps everywhere as half of my army atm is made of cheap used and not fixed (though painted) models, the difference is I hoped that on the new ones I'll get at least the painting right.

Use 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, doesnt harm plastics, seems allright on Finecast (with limited testing)

Okay can't for a life of me take a better picture, will keep trying.
But as there was no definitive "strip it" answer, rather that it's rather ok so I'd like to rephrase the question:
Based on the pic from the OP, if you bought such a mini used, would you strip it? Note that as Yonan said there are gaps, mainly on carpace and chin also some tiny leftovers of the sprue that I didn't clean because I was working in crapy light (only 2 places though).
Sorry for being so anal about it and thanks in advance. I love this Swarmlord really.

Thamks for the tip but is it better than ethanol? I tried that 96% or sth and it was a chore on metals.

I wasnt sure on that one  so I googled it;
http://blogs.howstuffworks.com/2010/04/23/good-question-what-is-the-difference-between-alcohol-ethanol-denatured-alcohol-rubbing-alcohol-methanol-and-isopropyl-alcohol/
'Isopropyl alcohol is a slightly bigger molecule than ethanol (Methanol is CH4O, Ethanol is C2H6O and Isopropyl alcohol is C3H8O) and is often cheaper to make. It is not as poisonous as methanol (an ounce of methanol can kill you and a third of an ounce causes blindness). So it is useful as a solvent in the same way acetone is useful as a solvent. It also burns nicely. We saw isopropyl alcohol being used to make a cloud chamber in this post. It can also be used to make bottle rockets:
Rubbing alcohol is a generic term that can be either denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.'
