Behind you...

If you are an observant folloewer of the dark gods then you will have noticed that this is a mk2 list! That is because the score limit for my upcoming game has risen to 1000pts!
Here is my new list!

HQ
CCS camo cloaks

Troops
2x vets camo cloaks

Heavy support
Manticore extra amour
3x leman russ

Fortification

I would strongly recommend purchasing Special Weapons for the CCS and Vet squads. Plasmaguns or even Grenade Launchers will drastically improve their damage output over basic Lasguns.

I would also advise against having all of your Leman Russ tanks in a single squadron. Multiple squadrons give you multiple units to fire at different targets.

This is what I would take, roughly:

CCS
-Camo Cloaks, 4 Grenade Launchers

10 Veterans
-Camo Cloaks, 3 Plasmaguns, Autocannon

10 Veterans
-Camo Cloaks, 3 Plasmaguns, Autocannon

Manticore

Leman Russ

Leman Russ

Aegis Defense Line
-Quad Gun (this is better than the Lascannon in almost all circumstances)

By my calculation this is precisely 1,000 points. I could be off as I don't have my codex at work. This list has quite a bit more firepower and reliability over the previous version, even though you are short one Leman Russ.

Hope that helps!

When playing Imperial Guard, I encourage you to remember this: Guardsmen are only as good as the special or heavy weapons they bring. Lasguns don't get you anywhere.
