Hiya,

I got to use this awesome spell from my High elves against Vamps last night on a massive horde of Skeletons. But I couldn't find anywhere if my mate was able to use a ward save? I let him have it in the end, but we don't know if that was correct or not

Usually if it doesnt restrict the use of a ward save in the spell then they get to have a ward save.

It deals every model in the unit a str4 flaming hit.

Flaming doesnt ignore ward saves, and str4 means its only -1 to armor saves.

Yeah, if a hit is caused and it says nothing else, you get to take a toughness test, and all saves.

If a wound is caused and it says nothing else, you get to take all saves.

Though each special rule has their own subrules. Like flaming avoiding regeneration and high strength attacks negating armor saves.

A hit doesn't give you a toughness test - it gives a roll to wound.

That's what I meant by it. Not an actual attribute test vs t, which are pretty rare.

I figured, but just thought that clarity is usually worth it
