HQ
Autarch - bike, mask laughing god, shard of anarus, shuri pistol, fusion gun, banshee mask

Troops

DA 5 man - with Serpent - TL SL, shuri cannon, holofield

DA 5 man - with Serpent - TL SL, shuri cannon, holofield

Guardian Defenders 10 man - with Serpent - TL SL, Shuri cannon, holofield

Jetbikes 3 man squad naked

FA

Warp Spiders - 7 man

Warp Spiders - 7 man

Warp Spiders - 6 man

Heavy

WraithKnight - double d cannons

Wraithknight - double d cannons

I reduced the WS by 1 so that I could have a squad of guardians that can shoot 20 shots when they get out and potentially hold an objective a little better than DA. I originally had 3 DA squads, but I thought the Guardians might be a bigger threaht and objective holder

Well, you must be a fan of Warp Spiders just like Flingitnow. How do you plan to deal with Helldrakes?

It is a good question and it has come up in practice games. Since I am traveling a bit to go to this tourney, I may be sadly surprised at the number of Helldrakes I see, but as most people around me are not running CSM as their primary army, I usually only have to deal with one. What I have done in the past is use my spiders on the rear arc or the serpents on the rear arc and hope to get 6's. I have been luck with my bikes to come on after the drake and get behind it and glance it, but unlikely...
It is difficult for this list to deal with flyers I agree and without a farseer to guide and or prescience it becomes harder. The good thing is with all the anti-flyer stuff, something that the Eldar really don't have, I think it scares many from running it, at least it has in my local area...

you could make the spiders into a 10 man, and 2 5 mans.

10 man guided makes fine anti air. double 5 man go wreck havock.

I have another list that is as follows

HQ
Farseer - bike, Mask

Troops
Jetbikes -3man naked

DA 5 man with Serpent as above x 2

Guardians 10 man with serpent as above

FA
Warp Spiders 7 man x 2

Heavy
Wraithknight double - d x 2

Fire Prism with holofield

The better thing with this list is that the guide and prescience can help the troops and the fire prism can more easily deal with land raiders and hordes

The thing that I lose is my +/-1 to reserves and I lose a beat stick HQ

I like the flyers and like what they can do, they are just too easy to kill... They needed to be able to take holofields or get shrouded like their Forgeworld cousins and they would be much more viable... Really with Eldar it is all about volume shooting, because we do not have cheap anti air and really only the flyers, dark reapers and war walkers can do it but not on the cheap

i prefer list one, but you could change a few things in list being dropping gardians to a 5 man DA squad, and trading the farseer back to a auatch, then giving him mantle and a cc weapon.

I played against a list with 3 units of warp spiders the other day. Its not fun. They are a menace that must be dealt with VERY quickly, which thanks to their speed can be difficult at times.

Play test games against necron air, helldrake spam, flying Space marines, bike space marines and especially the new sisters codex.

MSU eldar is going to have it rough.

I think for pure eldar to win they are going to have to have two things, very good generals, and blob guardian, or large jetbike squads.

MSU is just too easy for the tournament scene to deal with, and in a setting where you have to go 6-0 you will find one of your hard counters considering there are 5+ in the current meta.

ummm no.

blob gardians are ok. Not great. Lrge jetbikes squads, good but expensive.

neither of the things you listed are necsicary for eldar to win, and would probally hold them back from winning.

2 things you need to win for real: wave serpents (obvously the best unit in the codex) and war walkers (these are GREAT but not necicary)

I like war walkers but they tend to be shut down very quickly so I tend to not use them as often.. I like the Eldar fighter, but it dies SOOOOO easily

I'm just wondering what are you basing this off of, the only time that I know of that a list with more than 2 wave serpents has won was the nova invitational, and once in a tournament in england where they basically handed it to them by saying ignore cover doesn't effect vehicles giving the serpents an effective 2++ behind a skyshield.

are you kidding? eldar serpents are amazing. as many, many other eldar players have said: most lists need at least 3. i take usually more. and i win tournaments. tell you what, i used to run lists with the units you mentioned, never won a tounrey. Now, im winning (or at least placing) all the time.

I think the really competitive ways to play them without allies are with lots of wave serpents. I like footdar, and love wraith - but they are too expensive for how easily they die. The wraithguard are so cool but die sooo easily. Bikes are awesome, but with drakes out there, they just die too easily. Guardians, yeah you can spam them with an Avatar for a nice fearless bubble, but people will still wreck face on you, in the big tournies, Helldrakes, Tau, IG will spam a ton of dakka, ignore cover, blasts and kill the crap out of you before you can say "Kaela Mensha Khaine!"
