This is not the thypical post about to how bad GW is at their writting of rules or something like that, i sjust want to share this info and make a question, the last weekend, i play some friendly games of 40k, good games, well, almost, the firts an unespired game againts nids, my wolves just make a couple of shoots, before the opponent have to leave because he had to get his dog for the vet . The other one was a revengance from y wolves againts dark angels, so excite the game was, no flyiers, no broke units, my TWC was the star of the game, yep, an assault unit dominte the table, that leave thinking, not even my two packs of long fangs make great difference.
Latem betwen the vodka and the chat with friend, that play heroclix, i kwne about a broken team witha ghost rider that could make 20 clicks of damege on one turn, for the people dont know the game, the most damage a ultra powerful model can makes is just 6 clicks, so make the math.
The point of the long intruduction is that, because of this broken model, the company (wizkid) is going to faq the model itself and the other models and items (as the bat belt, yep, exist a model like that) becuase the 4 finalist of the official tourney of heroclix, use exactly the same formation and hence, the winner was the one who hit firts.
So, a broken rule and model, are going to be fix it by the company itself, just to make more balanced the game in the competitevi scene, so make me question, what about 40k?
Wizkid it is not just as big as GW, have powerlful sistems, as heroclix or magic, and when you play it, inmediatly you know that are games testeds, not to the perfection, but you know the designer play what they wrote. I know what everybody know, we never going to see this time and dedication to the product and the base consummer by the part of GW, ibut is clear sign that, once a little hobby manufacturer, became a monster with legal teams that attack every else that try to "steal" some of the profits of their product, like what happend with Beast of war.
The point of this post, and no to losee the point, is that, so saddly, our favorite game, betwen the gama of hobbys and sistems, is just another cold and heartless product on the shelves, and hurt more, because is a so rich universe, with a huge range of histories and races, armys, weapons, characters and more. The borken rules are no the problem, the problem is the leaf monters that give us expensive cold toys, without soul, just with the sole porpuse of sell more.
Maybe i am wrogn, maybe is just another wining post, feel free to post here, just make it with arguments and polite, thats the way how humans dialogue.
Greeting from Mexico and hope some feedback, i want anothers points of view, i wanto to belive that i am wrong

I'd love to give some feedback. Unfortunately due to spelling and grammar I found your post rather hard to understand.

I do realise that English is not everyone's primary language, but as I said your post is kind of confusing. Is there a way you could summarise into a single sentence?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I think what anyeri saying is why doesn't GW fix broken or OP units in the game.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

To which the answer would be that so long as people keep buying their flawed product, there is no particular reason to improve it.

That and the flawed, OP stuff sells BETTER, because people are people and will glomp to OP cheese units like iron filings to a magnet

If a model is selling up a storm, why nerf it? It will sell less.

Everything said above. GW has successfully created an arms race due to codex creep and meta shifts. An arms race which generates profit as WAAC players flock to updated armies for the power, and hobbyists for the new models.

As long as the money rolls in, why bother fixing things?

My pardon for the bad spelling, i need to practice more jjejeje, but the others summarise the post, je, sorry again for the bad spelling, but this has its origin in other questions, why exist one codex better than the others, when every one is geting an update? something that is supose to bring the army to the new ruleset and make the thing more balance it, but no, the company, whose duty is to oversee and fix the problems of the game and balance issuis, instead, they support the creation of more broken rules, units, models, mecanics etc... whe is going to be the day that GW give some real support to the game beyond a simple and mediocre faq, maybe i am just a dreamer about seeing a official GW forum with the pacticipation of the game desingers to discuss and help with the solution of problems and broken rules

They used to have community forums.

The blood got ankle deep in there IIRC, and a hefty proportion of the posts were 'this model sucks!' 'why aren't my Marines as good as in the fluff ! ' or 'why so expensive! I can't afford this'.

GW shut them down. Can't imagine why...

Up until very recently codexes were released far further apart. DE went upwards of a decade i think before getting the new codex, Orks have been waiting for years for one etc.

Bringing all the codexes into balance would certainly be desirable, but it could be less profitable to GW, which may be why they do things the way they do. They are a company in the business of selling models. The rules are there to sell the models.

Hiring some waacholes to find all the rules loopholes and exploits might be a good idea though
