After having quite a successful tourney with my marines, we are doing it again.

It's another 750 pt doubles tournament, using the Allied FOC.

My partner will be using Farsight Enclave.

Here is what I have to choose from:

Orks - I have most units available to me. Was thinking about a pure green tide (two 30 boy units with PK Nobs, Warboss, 9x Burna's).
Necrons - I've got 50x Necron Warriors, 10x Scarab Bases, 3x Destroyers, 3x Heavy D'd, D Lord, and a crappy Lord.
Marines - I've got many marines units including Dread, Terms, Ass Terms, Tac's, Pods, Bikes, AB's, Landspeeder, Lysander, Term Chappy, Libby.
Guard - I've got many HWT's, lots of Infantry including veterans, 2x Valk's (or Vendettas), 2x Leman Russ, 1x Manticore (or Chimera), and another Chimera.

Can I get some opinions on what army could use synergise with the Farsight Enclave well? Once there are some opinions I will start to post some lists.

I'm not opposed to buying more stuff, but I would prefer not to.

This might sound heartless, but when I'm playing Tau the only thing I want is a giant squishy meatshield to absorb the stuff that gets to my lines so that I can shoot it some more.

I'd say play orks, swamp the table in bodies, and if anything gets close to the tau lines throw yourself at it. Just go into each battle expecting to take 100% casualties so you'll feel happy when some stuff survives.

Alternatively you could play something that's actually fun. Your choice.
