I recently got hold of the old mini Eldar Avatar from Rogue Trader, but it is missing the cape.

Are there any reasonable substitutes that could be used from modern kits, or shall I paint it up with no cape?

How tall is the mini?

I had a look on Solegends, but can't really gauge it. I have a feeling that the capes from Victorias Miniatures could fit it and look good enough.

However they are only designed for 28 mm guard models so they might be a bit small if the Avatar is anything 35-40mm and above.

I ended up using two loincloths from spares from a Wraithguard plastic kit I had, and melded them together, to make a sort of bifurcated cape:
