Hey everyone,
So I bought my first ever big kit from forgeworld. I have wanted one of these for years. Its such a awesome kit to look at but horribel to put together.
I recorded this to show how poop my kit was.
How was your build?

If you get a kit from FW, and it comes in sub-standard, parts missing, or anything else wrong, you can contact them. My experiences in the past with their kits have been normally very good, the few times I received kits that were substandard (damaged, missing parts, etc.) i contacted them and either got a completely new kit, or the parts damaged/missing were sent at no cost to me. I have even had a time that i lost parts form an older kit I bought from them, I contacted them and they sent replacement parts to me completely at their cost.
Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.
hello, good video's to help me out later because i'm planing to buy one in a couple of months time and read loads of other different posts on the eagle. I dont mind the work and going to see how the kit looks in two months. Just wondering what unit to run inside.
The biggest thing that angers me about FW is just how poor their quality control is. For the price of the product, the consumer would have the reasonable expectation that they will receive a usable kit.
It's nice that their customer service is so good, but real customer service would be not forcing consumers to have to resort to that service so often.
Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?
That sucks bro... I hate it when my models don't fit. Haven't had that with my limited FW orders, but it seems like you aren't alone in your experience with the SE.
I suspect that they'd replace the kit. Failing that, you might consider adding some battle damage. Another solution would be to assemble it to the best of your ability, paint play and sell it on Ebay for retail for another Storm Eagle kit or at a slight discount. You'd get some takers I bet.
Best of luck bro. Sorry about your pain. But as my buddy said about drop pods:
"The Chaos gods laugh when gamers struggle to assemble the GW drop pod, but even the gods weep when they try to assemble their own."
Resign warps as it cures. Use hot water to straighten it out and fix it up. You kit look ls like you need to spend time dewarping it. That is just the fault of having to work with resign.
No, it's really not. There are a lot of companies making excellent products in resin. Forge World has embarrassingly bad quality control. The real problem that we don't hold their feet to the fire and stop buying their stuff until they get their act together. I freely admit, I'm part of the problem; I just put an order in for a Fire Raptor which is based on the Storm Eagle.
But don't think this is how it is, because it is not. Maxmini doesn't have these problems. Anvil Industries doesn't have these problems. Kromlech doesn't have these problems. Mad Robot, Hasslefree, and so on, and so forth.

Well I actually got a new part sent out as in the video. The stuff just doesnt line up. The video shows the front of the model flush but the the back goes out. The parts are straight but had the file and hack away to make them fit. Then sculpt a new part to fill the gaps.
Everything is explained and shown in the video. That was another new kit and it is the kit itself and for near £100 is it really worth all that trouble.
