I keep running into models that are nearly 40mm head to toe. This puts it at around 38mm scale. Didn't Malifaux start out as 32mm scale? I've also been reading that some models are being cast in different scales as Wyrd moves from metals to plastic. Does anyone know what Wyrd's game plan is regarding scale? Or is there one?

Depending on the model, comparing the book 4 plastics to book 1-3 metals, they're about the same height or marginally taller, and tend towards more realistic proportions. I'm not seeing anything dramatically different.

I saw a similar topic on the Wyrd message board. Specifically the Ronin in the Victoria's box are very big.

Apparently that was a mistake or communications error- there was talk of attempting to correct it (presumably rescaling the molds, since they're digital)

The other oversized model (a death marshal) was some sort of inside joke/result of a staff campaign or something.

All I know is that the figures in the Relic Hunters box seem to be a bit tall for 32mm scale.

The new plastics are shockingly bad in scale. They are looking to fix it but buying models now then buying more when fixed assuming they do means models will still be wildly out of scale still
