Ummm well theres actually a lot that can be corrected so let me start:
Heavy flamers are a waste of points drop them and give the guy a standard flamer. Trust me every IG player on this site will tell you that they are a waste.
Your vet squad, its got 1 of each special weapon, your trying to take a squad and have it do everything. But guess what it will only do a little of everything rather than specialize and perform a said task well. Pick plasma or melta and stick to it and spam 3 of them otherwise the squad is a waste and will not perform well. Most likely die without getting its points back.
Why are you taking all the regimental advisers, just think for a moment...how are each of them benefiting you? MoO is in a chimera, chimeras should be moving, if he moves he cant fire his blast, I believe he would be a waste of points in these lists unless you are going gunline and sitting back which since you have chimeras you shouldnt be doing, or you will get bogged down and trapped in your own deployment zone. The adviser that gives you +1 to your reserves, thats the astropath iirc, you have 1 flyer that will be in reserves, personally nothing else in your list should be in reserves. He also is a waste drop him. Now the last adviser is really your call. Your opponent will have -1 to his rolls, not bad but its your call if your opponent doesnt use reserves he is wasted. So if you drop the first 2 guys that gives you 60pts.
Also you have a lot of HWt's in your mobile infantry squads in chimeras, as mentioned above since the list should be moving these guys will be snap firing the entire time. You are paying points for bs1 shots, doesnt seem very effective.
If you plan on sitting still and firing with a mech gunline you NEED a defense line. If you dont your opponent will knock out some of your chimeras and you will be stuck in your deployment zone because if only half your army gets to move out they will get picked off and you will be fighting a losing battle.
Hope most of these comments help you out. As mentioned your lists are all over, they are trying to perform many tasks but you want your guys to stick with specific tasks rather than try to to everything. If they try to do everything they will die terribly, that is speaking from watching plenty of battle reports, getting help from other players and personal experience. So Im not just giving you random tips.
Also look at each of your allied detachments and think about what it is really going to bring, some of them seem all over and I would almost recommend dropping them and sticking to IG but allies are fun especially fluffy guard and marine lists.
Thanks, much appreciated. I'll drop the HF and MoO, but I kinda want to keep the Astro and Fleet. I like to have good reserves, plus that bit of cannon fodder. We're playing on a themed table, a trench warzone, so I shouldn't have to worry about cover. I'm not liking the Chappie list, but I'm not sure which is the best of the other three. Which basic list, including any modifications, is the best/better?

I'd go with List 4, reconfiguring the weapon loadout so they all have the same specials. Its pretty focused, there aren't any 'meh' units other than the Vets (only because of how you're running them) and its got the best list backbone.
I'd consider taking another Eradicator, Hellhound or maybe a Colossus for wiping the enemy out of cover though.
