Was assembling a Waveserpent and got to looking at its top hull section.
Was quite a large piece as a single section mould.

Can you think of anything bigger leaving aside Forgeworld sculpts?
The Landraider top hull piece is pretty big too iirc.?

I can't exactly measure, but - I have a funny feeling it might be something from the Lord of Skulls. That mother is *big*. Possibly the Baneblade, though.

That said - are we including scenery? I know the Chaos Temple/Shrine/whatever it's called is one piece for the base and rockery, the extra pieces just go on top.

Well, the Thunderhawk is a Forgeworld piece and I'm assuming he means largest GW prime mold. I think it's also safe to cut terrain out of this, since if that was the case it would definitely be the Realm of Battle with it's 2'x2' tiles!

The Land Raider top hull piece is one solid chunk of warping plastic, but I don't know if it quite compares to the Wave Serpent hull. That's definitely at the high end though.

Also, I think that their moulds are designed to form multiple pieces at once, for example I doubt they inject one Tactical squad at a time. The moulds are probably of similar sizes in total, but in terms of individual components I suspect the Baneblade is well up there in size, as might be that Khorne Lord of Skulls.

The Stompa is pretty big. I would say bigger than a baneblade but its hard to tell because the baneblade is longer but the stompa is taller and has arms.

Edit: Just realized you meant 1 single piece. Well the plates that make up the hull of the stompa are pretty big, particularly the back one.

Off topic, but holy fething gak, yes it is. I just assembled a new one last night, and every. goddamn. time. I. do. I forget how much i hate building land-raiders.

Sorry just had to get that out.

Back on topic... aren't there bigger pieces in the terrain fortress kits though ?

Baneblade has some pretty large hull sections, but probably not the biggest, can't tell on mind where single sections end, its been a while since I put it together.

How is the land raider and fortress kit bigger than a single realm of battle board?

The dozer blade from the Khorne-mower looks like a contender.
