Battle for Tyrok Fields

A girl was running through a field, full of daisies, tulips and other beautiful flowers.She was blonde, with a cute face,and about six years old.Laughter was heard behind her, as she stopped, at the edge of a hill, overlooking Cadian shock troopers lining up, Lasguns shouldered, and helmets shining.The girl looked toward the sky, and saw drop ships coming in. Then a loud boom was heard, and crater appeared where the Cadians once stood.

"Get to cover!" A scream came from trooper Green, as a screams of shells from the Volscani Cataphracts Leviathans where heard. Guardsmen ran to any cover they could find as shells landed near or on them killing many. Then the shells stopped coming Guardsmen brought their heads up from their cover seeing dead Guardsmen and women everywhere and hearing the moans of the wounded and dying.In the distance where men clad in scale like armor, and helmets akin to the helmet of the Persian cataphracts coming towards them. The Cadians readied their Lasguns,After the Cataphracts came between 500 to 1000 meters from the Cadians, the Cataphracts fired at them, Lemen russ tanks advancing on them, the Cadians answered in turn, and the orange bolts of Lasgun fire went from one side to another. The Lemen russes fired with battle cannons killing whole squads of Cadians. The Lemen russes where painted a desert yellow, and where adorn with symbols of Chaos. The Cadians where being slaughtered,Interior Guard high command was dead, and screams of panic and disarray where heard over the Vox.

But the Cadians fought on, using Lascannons, melta bombs and any other anti-tank weapon they could find, they destroyed the Chaos Lemen Russes.

Trooper William fired his Lasgun at a group of Cataphracts running from cover, making one do a back flip as he was hit. Firing one last bolt he shot off the head of another Cataphract then ducked down to reload. He heard sometime slide next to him.. He turned his head to his left and say a Guardsmen with a smile on his face. William jumped.

"Davidson! Why are you so happy after all this!" William yelled ducking as Las fire went over his cover.

"I'm happy to see you still alive William" Davidson said.

"You too" William stood up and fired his Lasgun five times then ducked back down."What's going on with the others?" He asked Davidson.

'Hell, Living hell, were all disorganized, all you can hear is panic over the Vox" Davidson said, William looked at the ground.

"gak. We'll, we need to get out of here" He said, raising his head.

"There's a Lord General trying to rally the troops for a attack on the traitors" Davidson said.

"Who?"

"Creed"

William eyes went wide, and a smile came upon his face. Davidson and William their Lasguns ten times, and then ran toward where Creed was.

No problems with people tackling cannon events in 40k, but a golden rule is to leave them as periiral figures. And not to have the speak or like, come jumping in saving the day. beside that using words like five thousand instead of 5000 will also work better in regards to allowing the story to flow better.
