So the UA for the Winterguard Infantry just arrived, and I put a dot of my good glue on the standard bearers arm and hand, hold it there for a few seconds, he sits pretty and dries easy. I try the same with the officer, no luck. I try letting the glue dry a tiny bit, hold it back together, no luck. I hold it together for 3 minutes (after having wiped the old glue off and reapplied), no luck.
Has anyone else had this problem? I might have to pin it, which just...doesn't feel right, when the standard went together so easily. If you did have this problem, how did you fix it?

How did you clean the glue? Did you use acetone or another chemical or did you use a microscope to scrape it out. The problem with super glues is that they are thin and brittle and they will not adhere to surfaces that arent clean.

I just wiped it all off until I couldn't feel the sticky (technical term) anymore. I'll use a chemical cleaner, wash it off and let it try before giving it another shot. Then if that doesn't work I'll just pin. I'm just surprised it didn't work the first time.

Zap-a-gap. The bottle also says Medium CA+ if that helps more. It has always worked really well, and seems to have held after I cleaned it. Must have just been something on the metal or...I dunno. But it seems to be fixed. Thanks for your help guys.

It could be a releasing agent on the model? I've seen it on more than one model, whether privateer, gw, Corvus belli etc.
Scrub the model with soapy water and a hard toothbrush or something. Use some washing up liquid too. That should help.
After that, glue as per normal.
