5 X Immortals - Gauss
5 X Warriors
1 X Canoptek Wrath - Whip Coils upgrade

Specialists
1 x Immortal Specialist/Leader - Preferred Enemy (Everything!)
1 x Immortal Specialist - Blind
1 x Canoptek Wrath - Armourbane

unlike fleshbane or armourbane, the RAW do not explicitly state the blind effect of a model only applies to close combat. The tactic with this is to aim for the enemy model that can wreck the most havoc against the necrons and hopefully fail the blind test if it's not killed with the Strength 5 immortal gauss cannon. There was some confusion as to whether multiple hits (due to Assault 2 weapon profile) in the shooting phase would cause multiple Blind tests, and since we were there for fun and not necessarily to min/max and power game I went with my opponent's ruling that even if the weapon hit twice it would only be a single test.

Another tactic which I found to be very effective was if my opponent deployed first I would split my force deployment heavy on one flank with the wrath, 4 immortals, and 3 warriors on one side, and 1 immortal and 2 warriors on the opposite flank side, while deploying all my units in complete LOS obstruction. I would not attempt to seize initiative and let them navigate closer to me before blitzing down one flank and to the central objective.

This army and simple tactics worked very successfully for me against 5 different kill team armies which included a mix of heavy, range, cc, and short range weapons. The only difficulty I had was against an eldar opponent who rolled a lot of rending wounds on the opening two turns.

5 wraiths. 2 with whip coils at 195pts is better even though you only have 5 models, they have 2 wounds each and a 3++ so are pretty durable and in kill team reanimation doesnt matter so thats a bonus since they dont have it it doesnt matter

Don't know why you'd pick Hatred on your Specialist when Preferred Enemy is pretty much better.

Hi Valkyrie, that was a typo on my part. I did have Preferred enemy.

I would have to disagree with you necronspurs2012 on taking 5 wraiths.

The reanimation protocols do work on Kill team for Necrons. There's a FAQ released by GW that state that models with resurrection protocols are treated as having Ever Living rules in Kill Teams. The resurrection rolls definitely helped out. And 5 models is just too few, even with an invul save. A few unlucky dice rolls and you'd be taking Break Tests before you know it, and getting swamped with concentrated fire, while not being able to respond in kind. Then there's the Leader upgrade roll of +1 Ballistic skill, which would be wasted on a wraith, while still a good roll for an immortal or warrior. It's only 1 in 14 chance, but it happens, and did happen in my tourney. At that +1 BS did help in multiple circumstances.

I found 1 Wraith more than enough. Though I did test out a couple of quick games with 3 wraiths prior to the tournament (2 whip coils, and 1 normal) and a unit of immortals and that one worked out fine too.
