I haven't been seeing any GK/Eldar lists out on the net, so I decided to mash up the two and go crazy with Monstrous Creatures. It was a fun game, and I think I'm going to keep playtesting this list against more competitive ones. Enjoy!

Good report.

Having that last turn was amazing, as you got all the objectives. One of those games where your army got beat up pretty bad but you still come out with a major victory.

I was surprised misfortune stuck so easliy to the knights. With reinforced ageis, the seer needed a 6 and then you got a 5+ deny. Bad luck I suppose, although bladestorm is a pretty hard counter to MC's.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Thanks, unfortunately the Dreadknights don't get Reinforced Aegis, just Aegis. Dreadnoughts get the reinforced. And I was a little worried after turn 2 when two monsters went down.

You had all the mobility, while taking away his straight up. This batrep shows the power of eldar jetbikes. 2 squads of those and no objective is safe, anywhere. They really are so broken in objective missions. Serpents may be the Eldar cavalry, but Windriders are what wins us games.

Interesting report. I think the biggest issue was your opponent's lack of movement. His units were way out of position to even contest. With your forward movement, it just seemed fairly obvious how the game would turn. Thanks for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Agreed. However, I think my pushing forward with my big nasties was what kept him on his back foot. The monsters are the lynchpin of the list, and are used to push units back so that my scoring units can get a clear path to objectives.

As I said earlier, nice Batrep. Nice to see you are on Dakka too.

Looking forward to facing whatever you can cook up for my Farsight Enclave at 1500 for Friday, too bad you can't make the tournament Sunday. I'd be more than happy to be subject of a Batrep.

Nice Batrep, I love the idea of Grey Knights with Eldar Allies especially with the posibilities of GK storm ravens 2-3 MC jetbikes and crusader squads.

I didn't think monstrous creatures were allowed on the upper levels of ruins. Fun batrep regardless though.

They should be able to be deployed there, and if they agreed at the beginning that they can move up to the top.

Ha, I actually didn't know they couldn't go up there. If I got you guys right, they can start deployed there, but once the game starts can't go up a floor into ruins?

On the upside, my opponent did the same thing with one of his Wraithlords, so we were wrong together. Winning!

It's all based on mutual agreement. If you agree the ruins are passable or climbable by MCs, then they are. Otherwise, they can't go through or on top of them.
