I would opt for going all drop pods, with only one coming in first turn it will give your opponent enough time to deal with the wolf guard that pop out. Also i would recommend putting some cyclone missiles in some of the WG squads lets you deal with light armour and is also not bad anti-troop. Add some more bodies with 4 squads of 5 plus logan only gives you 21 models on the table granted they have 2+/5+ a few bad rolls can leave you struggling, maybe a squad or two of grey hunters to hold back field objectives.

Iirc, doesnt the Wolf guard come stock with a power weapon? are you trading the power weapon for a claw? or are you dropping the stormbolter for the claw(I dont remember if you could do this). Why I ask is because you are going up against deathwing correct? there will be a lot of termies with 2+ saves since its deathwing. Why not keep the wold guard with power weapons and either give them swords for ap3 or axes for ap2(will be needed).

Wolf Guard are also great for spamming combi weapons which I would feel a combi plasma would be a great choice in dealing with termies. Not to mention I believe keeping the power weapon and giving them a combi weapon is cheaper than the claw route and more effective.

Hope this helps

Ok here is what I run... It is NASTY so beware. I have tabled every SM and CSM by turn 3.

DROP POD 1
Logan
6 LF, 5x MM
WG, TDA, CM, WC

DROP POD 2
WG, TDA, CP, WC
WG, TDA, AC, PA
WG, TDA, TH, SS
WG, TDA, CP, WC
WG, CP
WG, CP

DROP POD3
WG, TDA, CP, WC
WG, TDA, AC, PA
WG, TDA, TH, SS
WG, TDA, CP, WC
WG, CP
WG, CP

DROP POD 4
WG, TDA, TH, SS
WG, TDA, CM, CF
WG, TDA, CML, SS, PA
WG, TDA, CM, PS
WG, TDA, 2xWC

DROP POD 5
10 GH, 2xPG, WS, MoW, PA

6xLF, 5x ML
RB, TLL

Thats about 2K, Im at work and no codex:(, and I do change it up a bit mainly with the 4th DP sometimes add Arjac or change the weapons load out depending on points.

I leave my options open with this list if he has 2 or less close vehicles i drop the first three DPs, Logan gives MM LF relentless, thats 5 MM shots and 1 MG at two targets (yes I have taken 2 LR's out in turn 1................just letting that sink in) and 8 Plasma shots and 4 AC shots each unit. Not to mention the ML LF and TL LC in the back field oh IN TURN 1. if he is tank heavy drop DP4 instead of DP3 for more tank carnage. then turn 2 Logan goes with a WG squad for some assault fun.

Im not saying to copy this list but this is the strength of Space Wolves use it!

Mate it cost 5pts to upgrade and it gives re roll hit OR wound. WORTH IT

Oh and I forgot 2 things, all those units are behind a 2+ 3++ guy. And the DPs have Storm bolters see if you need to use them hahahaha

Yeah I run a similar list haven't run Logan and long fangs in a while was thinking of giving them 2 mm and 3 plasma canons, then putting a rune priest in their as well for divination. Haven't used it yet think it will be really harsh, I can always keep it in reserve for something tough.

I run different drop pods too..

In an ideal world, you'd have everything magnetized so you can just bring Combi-Plasma and Power Axes to fight his Terminator army. Wolf Guard lists are better when there is a mix of TDA and Power Armor, but since you want to go all Terminator armor it would be better to take advantage of the unit's wargear selection strengths. They come with Power Weapons, and S 5 AP 2 is perfect for taking out T 4 Sv 2+ when both of you are likely striking at the same time. And they get cheap combi-weapons, for some ranged AP 2 fun. Maximise that and stick them all in Drop Pods.

35 points a model for a Wolf Guard in TDA w/ Combi-Plasma and Power Axe. Not too shabby. Makes each 5 man unit with a Drop Pod a base of 210 points, and you should probably stick Assault Cannons/Heavy Flamers/CML in each of those.

I'd probably do something like this:

275 pts - Logan Grimnar
150 pts - Dreadnought w/ Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer; x1 Drop Pod
150 pts - Dreadnought w/ Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer; x1 Drop Pod
175 pts - Wolf Guard Pack w/ x4 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe; x1 Drop Pod
240 pts - Wolf Guard Pack w/ x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe; x1 TDA, CML, Power Axe; x1 Drop Pod
250 pts - Wolf Guard Pack w/ x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe; x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe, Meltabomb; x1 TDA, CML, Power Axe; x1 Drop Pod
250 pts - Wolf Guard Pack w/ x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe; x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe, Meltabomb; x1 TDA, CML, Power Axe; x1 Drop Pod
250 pts - Wolf Guard Pack w/ x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe; x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe, Meltabomb; x1 TDA, CML, Power Axe; x1 Drop Pod
250 pts - Wolf Guard Pack w/ x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe; x2 TDA, Combi-Plasma, Power Axe, Meltabomb; x1 TDA, CML, Power Axe; x1 Drop Pod
2000 pts TOTAL

Whole lot of pain. I'd probably be happy with this list for a game then start dropping CML to take Rune Priests and try to shoehorn another Drop Pod Dreadnought in there or something.
