Greetings! It is I, Commander Kalof! Here to ask you about the topic of making a gaming club at my local school. There are 20 people I know who all play Warhammer 40K, but there all to shy to ask, I am going to do it, but I need to know what to say the teachers. What do you guys think?

"Hey, I was thinking of putting together a social club, kind of like the Chess Club, but for a sci-fi table-top game called Warhammer 40,000. It's from the same company that makes a Lord of the Rings game and a football game. We'd meet X number of days out of the week for X number of hours, and we are requesting a room that can house X number of tables."

This. Also, if the teachers refuse you can mention the fact that you know there are 20 people interested. Also, if you try this with a teacher that you get along with, this may increase your chances.
Good luck!

This. Something along these lines was exactly what I used back in the day.
If you can find a teacher that used to play or does play 40k (or another wargame), then that's even better. We had one who had DA, he even joined in a few games and gave us a section of his classroom wall to put campaign maps and the like on.

if no teacher does do 40k (like at my school :(, then you could try for the art teacher.

You don't need a teacher that is, themselves, into 40K, but do build up the fact that it's a social game, that it encourages reading and critical analysis, that it involves developing mathematical skills, long-range planning, sportsmanship and all that good stuff.
... just like a Chess Club.

There is a policy at most schools around forming clubs. Check with the office, they might have a printed copy of the policy.
In general, in the US at least, you need to have a faculty member willing to sponsor the club. Think about which teacher you are going to ask to sponsor it.
Also, think about the mechanics of the club. An average game of 40k takes more than an hour to complete, which is sometimes the longest a club will be permitted to assemble on school grounds.
There may be policies about club sports that allow you to get around this restriction. I know for chess we would meet after school and have tournaments on weekends once a month. In order to make use of the facilities, we had to be a sport per the official county guidelines for facilities usage. It also enabled us to have longer after school activities.
Finally, you might also want to connect with peers from other schools interested in doing the same. If you can say that you are building a team that will compete with teams from other schools, this might lend some additional legitimacy to your request. A lot of kids don't understand this, but principals, VPs and the like are the most competitive faculty members out there. They take special interest in things that show diversity in their school and allow them to show their school is better than other schools.

And schools in UK give rooms for free , you don't have to pay for the rooms ? If that is true , It would explain a lot to me.

I think that, like here in the Netherlands, schools usually lend an empty classroom for clubs.

This is my situation in Canada... although I've gotten some people interested in the game, it's just too expensive for me to justify aggressively pushing people into the TT game. I don't play at a school, but what's been said have been solid ideas.
