Hi there

Currently all I own is the Military orders set but I have been reading the rules and thinking about other models and potential lists. How would the following list fair in your opinion as a generic 150 pt list?

Panoceania | 5 models
________________________________________________________

Order Sergeant Combi (13|0)
Machinist Engineer (15|0)
Hexa Hacker (36|0.5)
Palbot (3|0)
Palbot (3|0)
Order Sergeant Spitfire (20|1)
Aquila Lieutenant (59|0)

Welcome to infinity and whatever you play: have fun with it!

Here are my 5 Cents:

1st: Your engineer - even supported with 2 palbots - wont see much work as he has no drone to repair. If you are aiming at playing scenarios where specialists like engineers are needed, you could as well give your mechanic some more to do

2nd: I would strongly recommend not to go with so few orders. (Palbots dont provide any!) On 150 points it does npot strictly have to be full 10 orders but evan that is entirely possible.

The following list is meant just as an example for how much is possible with 150 points. It's for the NeoTerra subfaction but for military order you might construct a similar one as most of the units are available there.

Fusilier Lt (10|0)
Fusilier Combi (10|0)
Fusilier Combi (10|0)
Fusilier Combi (10|0)
Fusilier Hacker (22|0.5)
Auxilia (14|0)
Auxbot
Auxilia (14|0)
Auxbot
Sierra Dronbot HMG (28|1)
Machinist Engineer (15|0)
Palbot (3|0)
Trauma-Doc Doctor (14|0)

That list would not make good use of your military order starter but most infinity players will happily accept you proxying. Moreover most of those minis you can find in lower priced boxed sets:
- 2 auxi + auxbots
- engi+doc+palbot
- 4 fusi in starter

Sub 200pt games I don't think order efficiency is too important. Once you hit 200pts, that's where you want to start trying to get at least 8 orders.

I agree, but there is a long way between maxing out 10 and playing with only 5. Even the starter boxes include 6 orders for about 110-120 points.

(edit: I take that back. The MO starter is already at 150! Those expensive tin cans...)

Thanks for the pointers this is where my ignorance came in I thought the engineer could also repair a knight or stuff with armor that gets damaged etc

What about the hacker? Even if he is TO camo'd, it's still 12|0.5 points of dead weight if there aren't any HI or TAGS - enough for another sergeant. You could also lose a palbot and give him a MSR. Or just take the spitfire version. So you have:

PANOCEANIA
──────────────────────────────────────────────────

GROUP 1 4 0 0

AQUILA Lieutenant MULTI Rifle / Pistol, Shock CCW. (59)
ORDER SERGEANT Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (13)
ORDER SERGEANT Spitfire / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 20)
HEXA Spitfire / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 31)

2.5 SWC | 123 Points

And add what you want with the other 27 points (maybe a pair of sergeants).

Yeah, for that you need a doctor. Unless they get immobilised with glue or E/M, then you need an engineer to get them moving again.

Depends who you play against. I use a Barid hacker every time I can because my most common opponent plays Aleph and likes Dactinis.
