Subject: Lascannon spam c:sm. Reasonable? If so which CT? (1850)

Different to most C:SM/BA lists I make as I usually go drop, mech or assault.
So went for a lascannon spam instead;
HQ
Librarian
Troops
4x 5 man tac squad
Lascannon
4 x razorback
Either tl lascannon or las-plas?
2x 5 man scouts
Either bp & ccw or shotguns
2x Landspeeder Storms (outflanking objective grabbers/ blinders of enemy return fire)
Fast attack
2 x Storm talon
Skyhammer
Heavy support
3 x 5 man dev squad (should this be upped?)
4 lascannons
3 x razorback
Either tl lascannon or las-plas?
Total: 1850
Imperial fists: tank hunter on 12 lascannons will be fantastic also rerolling ones on the boltguns will help horde management.
Ultarmarines: combat doctrines are useful but assault cant be used and dev is only worth it for repositioning.
Iron Hands: IWND on vehicles and 6 fnp for marines might work well.
Stormtalons for AA and horde management.
23 lascannon shots, 3 at bs5 and potentially 7 of them tl. Plan would be to stay at the back of the board, forcing most enemies to spend a turn or 2 getting in 36" or 24" effective range. Weakness to alpha strike pod lists that have assault elements, but this can be diluted somewhat by a wide spread. Weakness to horde. Weakness to fast moving assault armies such as BA or Ravenguard spammed assault marines or infiltrating genestealers. Should be a danger to riptides and serp spams and any IG/BA/Vanilla mech lists. Shouldn't do bad against nidzilla (as long as the tervs are taken out early) or elite low model count armies either.
Any ideas? Which CT do you recommend for it? Is lack of a counter assault unit greater than scouts a major weakness if deployed over 36" away? Most importantly - will it work?

Your glowing assessment of the Imperial Fists compared to the others also happens to be your answer. Lascannon spam of any kind that involves Devastators or Devastator Centurions should be Imperial Fists.

Cheers for the response. It'd have to be a successor chapter though as yellow marines just look silly!

You're welcome! Your army looks like it will have a low model count, at least compared to most other Marine armies at 1850. Crimson Fists work really well for theme purposes with low model count armies. Otherwise, the Iron Knights would be a good fit with all of those Razorbacks.

The Ultramarines CT is better than you'd think.
You get two huge advantages in that you can place them into reserve and use relentless to walk on and alpha strike with them turn 2 if they're playing super aggressive, and you also get access to Varro Tigirius who buffs Lascannon Devs to great levels.
Tank Hunters is alright but it doesn't compare to re-rolling all failed hits, ignoring cover, 4+ invulnerables against their ignores cover weapons and the other powers available in the divination branch.
