Aegis Defense Line

I love the idea of just hunkering down behind the Aegis w/ a Dread in the middle and the Termy and Tigurius up front. re rolls and no covers everywhere.
I have the Assault Squad and Scouts to go out and hold objectives if necessary.

maybe add in a devastator squad with missiles then a las predator then another tac squad

Just a thought, I'm not sure if its a trick used by all tau players but in our meta it seems to be the major "thing". It's whacking a commander with the two battle systems that allow others in unit to reroll hits and auto ignore cover, this combined with a riptide lobbing pie plates into an aegis worries me a lot. My boys tend to be in rhinos or pods, so at least that way my opponent has to pop a box first. Like I said, just a thought, watch out for riptides.
