I’m kicking around the idea to create a league using the Tale of Four Gamers as inspiration. I can’t get a hold of the TOFG articles so I made up my own rules for it and I’m about to share them with a group of players at my FLGS and would like some feedback. Please let me know what you think and if it's something that you would be interested in yourself. Also, if you live in the DFW area (Texas) and don't mind driving to Grapevine you are welcome to join, or just come to the FLGS we play.

The idea is to get at least five others in the league. We will then each select an army we don’t already play. Then acquire, assemble, and paint a 500 point force using any GW 40K Codex. No supplements or Forge World armies are allowed. The painted and assembled army must match their army list exactly and every model must be painted and WYSIWYG as much as possible. Players will submit their army list in the week before the next round begins (up until the day before the next round starts). They may not change their army list until the next round; they are stuck with their army the entire round. They may alter or replace units from one round to the next. Example: if you took a dreadnought in your 500 point list you may change his weapons or replace him altogether in your 750 point list. But your 750 point list must be fully painted and WYSIWYG.
After 8 weeks passes the preseason will end and Round 1 will start. Each player must play a minimum of two games a week against other members of the league using their 500 point army. Win-Loss record will be recorded for their games of each week. If it isn’t possible to play two games in a certain week than exceptions can be made. If they cannot field a fully painted and WYSIWYG 500 point army they will get two losses for that week and may not participate in the games that week. For example: if you do not finish your army until week 3 of round 1 than you will receive four losses for the two weeks you missed.
Each round will last for 4 weeks. Each round following the 1st will increase the army size by 250 points. You must submit your army list before the first day of the next round.
