Greetings! New to Space Wolves and I am running against my friend with 15 berserkers, 10 terminators, 2 predators with Lascannons, land raider with lascannons, and hellbrute with lascannon. He calls it the Marine killer list, ha! I am just wondering what you gents would suggest in countering this list? Any advice would be very appreciative.

Wolf Guard (power armor) suicide squads in Drop Pods, 5-7 combi meltas per pod should do it.

A points cost would be nice here, based on the list I'm assuming something like 1250? Or maybe 1500 with HQ included.

It really doesn't look that bad to be honest, he's got 9 Lascannon shots a turn plus an infantry core, so the actual Lascannons themselves aren't going to do enough damage to win the game on their own. If I were in your position it seems like a fairly simple task of removing those Berzerkers and Terminators, while all the Lascannons are vehicle-mounted and thus require something dedicated.

Perhaps it would be easier if you could provide an example of what you usually use so we have something to work with. However as general counters:

Land Raider- Needs Melta. Consider using a Pod-squad or 3, Combi works well in bulk or you could just use Grey Hunters. Does he keep a unit transported in here, because it's a reeeeally expensive way to use a gunship.
Predators- Melta to the front, alternatively Missiles will do a good job if you can get them on the side/rear. Look into Pods again or perhaps Land Speeder Typhoons. In a pinch, you can always resort to Krak Grenading them.
Helbrute- Long Fangs should do it, or any Meltaguns left over. Just try to avoid combat with it really.

Berzerkers and Terminators don't really need special considerations, other than shooting > combat. Perhaps a Lone Wolf might serve as a tarpit if wearing Terminator Armour, at least it removes them as a problem for some time.

Either: Drop Pods with Wolf Guard armed with Combi-Meltas (and little else); or Thunderwolf Cavalry with a Power Fist/Meltabombs; or Land Speeders / Attack Bikes with Multi-Meltas; or your own Land Raider / Predators with Lascannons; or Long Fangs with Missile Launchers or a few Lascannons.

You have a lot of options available in the Codex without having to resort to Allies. It really kind of depends on what you want to do, what your list does, and where you want your collection to go.

Much thanks so far on the advice given! I am definitely putting it to use. As for points wise we are at 1825. I was using Logan, 2 Wolf Guard terminators, Arjac, Thunder wolf cavalry x3, Land Raider, drop pod, 1 Long fang (2 Las, Melta, Heavy Bolt, ML), Scouts with Plasma, Dreadnought lascannon, Grey Hunter squad, Blood Claws squad. I will be going through some different lists and see what I can come up. Thanks so far!!!

my space wolf strategy has always been. never use vehicles and mostly rely on grey hunters equipped with melta guns, standard, wolfen, and powerfist (not all on one guy.) though thunderwolves are great and so are terminators in drop pods as a diversion tactic. and use 2 cheap hq, like wolf and rune priest

Spoiler:
rune priest 100
terminator 20
wolftooth neclace 10
chooser slain 10
140

wolf priest 100
terminator 20

For fighting CSM i use:

- GH or WG with meltasmim drop pod. Their goal is to get rid of tanks and ID anything with T4 Sv2 ( like oblitererators)
- Long Fangs with Kraks or Plasma Gun and a prescience Rune Priest. They chop MEQ units innseconds.
- Quad Gun for Skyfire.
- Lone Wolves in TDA with fenrisian wolves to hunt monsters or as a tarpit vs bikes.

One more thing - Rune Priest runic weapon has a bonus when fighting deamons, and it can ID if You spend a warp charge.
