Ok the background.
I am in a six game league atm one game a week for 6 weeks. We all gave our lists in at the start and they have been posted so everyone can see there opponent. The deployment and missions are already set for each week so every game is the same.
So the game this week is Big guns never tire and we are using the vanguard strike deployment

The lists

As you can see I am facing an amazing 7 fliers and a Fmc
Do you have any advice on trying to take this out?
Should I keep my squads small or blob them?
Do I reserve 1/2 of my troops?

I am guessing my main problem is the doom scythes, take them out asap. then try and deal with the other fliers if I can

With regards to the FMC if I use the 'Bring it down' order on a squad, will the lasguns get TL? as the rule states ...counting their weapons as TL???

Yes if you give a unit the order bring it down all their weapons are twin linked.

You have a pretty good list, I wouldnt blob the Infantry squads unless its a kill points mission.

I personally have not played the flying circus list but let me know how the game goes for you.

My suggestion would be to spread out as much as you can so they can't place flying bases in your deployment zone. Won't do much, but it may help to force the FMC to stand in front of your entire gun line..

The game is big guns never tire, so I will be ok on the kill point side of things.
I was going to blob two of the auto cannon/plasma gun IS so I could have 4/6 shots TL with the BID order? This should give me a better chance to hit the fliers
Am guessing that the only things on the board at the start of the game will be the cultists and the DP. So am pretty sure i will get first blood. If the emperor smiles I might wipe them both out

The deployment is the vanguard strike so I should be able to spread out enough, if only to stop the hell turkey vector strike me.

I will let you know how it goes. I need to win/draw to have a chance for the top 8

You need to get rid of those flamers from your vets squad. Find somewhere you can add plasma to that squad. As mentioned above, the bring it down order is excellent against flyers.

I would change the plasma canon sponsons off the executioner and add heavy bolters. it will free up points on for the plasma guns for your vets. Plus, the executioner is a pretty good anti flyer unit for non dedicated flyer unit.

Unless you can field a hydra somewhere, you need to win this game in the deployment phase and smart decissions during the game.

You can beat this list, i have, but, my list is somewhat different.

One other thing, most of those necron weapons have a 24 inch range. Stay out of that, try and be 30 or more inches away, but, use your long range weapons against the crons.

I cant change the list its part of a 6 game 'league' and this is the third game. Thats why am asking for any tips.
I love my flamer vets they have demolitions, shotguns and flamers so they are usually in the valkyrie and are dropped off in the enemy back board and cause close range havoc.
The executioner is the plasma cannon tank so it cant hit fliers but the vanquisher can (with a little luck).
It will and the deployment phase is my worst part of the game tbh. I always make silly little mistakes.
With him being in fliers I cant really keep him out of any range, I will just have to take out whole squads as they drop.

Not being able to change your list will make it difficult. You need to concentrate on the mission. If it is objective, you might be able to pull it off. Your ADL quad gun will be pivotal. Make sure you set that up where you can get the most out of it.
