Because allies of convenience are treated as enemy units does the presence of them deny an objective to your other detachment?

I can't find anything in the rulebook about this.

That says they are treated as enemies and says what you cannot do to them. They are enemies for some abilities, like imotehks lightning, so do people think that they are enemies for the purpose of denying objectives?

No. The Allies of Convenience entry was erratad in the rulebook FAQ.

They are treated as friendly units for Objectives.
