Does a CSM Daemon Prince upgraded to a psyker get a force weapon? It makes sense to me that it should.

Dang it, now all I can think about is how good a Force Weapon on my DPs would be.

Right, they are fantastic, and mine always do quite well. But with a FW, you could ID all the OTHER big scary MCs. Just imagine getting multi-charged by three Wraithknights and killing ALL of them in one phase!
As I said...dang it....

Yes, a Balesword is better, no psychic test required for Instant Death means you can use all Warp Charges for psychic powers.
And while we're on it, Daemons Princes are better than CSM Princes, as they can take all Biomancies, or other BRB powers, instead of having to take a Codex power minimum (better chance of Iron Arm). AND Daemons Princes get Greater Rewards. For the same points the Daemons Princes win.

CSM princes though can take a spell familiar and the Black Mace plus they also have access to the Artefacts in the Black Legion supplement. I prefer the Daemon Prince from the daemon codex since I run daemons as an ally for my CSM.

Codex daemons have daemonic instability, however, meaning one bad round of combat and....gone.

daemon instability also means they can go to ground and are immune to the psychic power terrify

It also means they can regain all their lost wounds.
I find daemonic instability only a problem if you have a big MC and some fodder in the same combat. Very easy to lose him then.
