I'm helping my girlfriend decide what to get for her chaos daemon army. Looking at the core, other than ranged magic attacks from the horrors I can't see any shooty units. Does Chaos have the equivelant of my dark elf crossbowmen?

Not in core. Closest you get to shooting are flamers. Then you have skull cannons, burning chariots and soulgrinders

Flamers are expensive but I have only run them once against brets so str4 wasnt that good against them, I will try to run them again as it gives something else to else in shooting. Skull cannons, well in two games they have done very well in most others I think I was choosing either the wrong targets or they had no targets. Burning chariots, I think they need pratice to use them right so far I have mainly used them as glass cannons, go shoot something then usually die, what they have shot they do do well on but I have yet to use the flamer weapon as I havent been facing many hordes when running them.

Soul grinders, sadly I sold mine a while back, before starting fantasy so I have no idea on them.
