They're looking good! The gold is really great. The red could use a bit more depth, though, as it all sort of blends together at the moment. Also, you could improve your chipping if you paint the chipped spots black and fill them in with silver, leaving a bit of black around the edges.

Thanks Nate, all last night I was contiplating the primer of red and then a wash... was it enough? Should i prime black and stage up the red paint? I really hate painting red lol. But you are correct, they definitely need more depth. Andi think its going to take more then a nul oil wash. Im going to try to blackline one, and then im going to prime one black and paint up from there.
As for chipping, i been splotching the highest Red High light , then painting inside with leadbelcher, then highlight mithril silver.
Thanks again for the suggestions.
EDIT:
Okay the one on the left has been shaded a bit.. I think its the best im going to get without having to start over and prime black. I dont mind starting over since this is only 4 of about 30. Think its enough?

The one on the left definitely looks better, but I thought they looked great before too.
I'll be following your blog. I don't think I've seen anyone do pre heresy Thousand sons on dakka before.

Just to echo what's been said, the one on the left has more depth. Great improvement from before.
With regards to your primer, it will massively effect your results changing it to black, if you use an airbrush over it in gradual red tones it could work and would give quite a heretic look I would guess. But that depends on what you are after.
But yeah, looking good as they are (on the left)

Thanks for the suggestions all.
1)Went back and did a higher highlite of red/orange.
2)Black lined all the joint and washed to at depth to red
3)Touched up plating with red stages. Add more depth to red.
4)Went back in and cleaned up the silver highlight on mask and shoulder areas. (the mithril silver lining was a bit sloppy)
5)Followed the suggestion of adding black base to the "damaged areas", so went back and black lined/re-did all the battle damage.
Thanks again all for the tips and compliments, please feel free to critique. But i am very happy with them now, and i present my final product on the first 4 of many more to come.

Looking good, the red is spot on and great freehand on the T-Sons symbol.
