When I saw the photos of the new Space Marine Centurions I wasn't a massive fan so I decided to make my own, this is my take on the Centurion. I imagined them looking more mech like rather than the suit within a suit idea that GW went for. Btw they are still a work in progress and I have a third one to build so any constructive criticism is appreciated.

I think you need to add [img] tags around the links, so they show up.

I'm intrigured to see what you've done, here.

They look nice. As for criticism are they a bit small? I mean with no side by side comparison it's hard to judge how big they are.

Other than that, I like it. It has more of the old Robotech feel, a Valkayrie supped up in armour and missiles.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Yea i think they are slightly smaller than centurions but I wanted them to be less big and bulky! they probably could do with being slightly taller but I thought they would be then to thin in the body for that.

Problem I can see, is if you are going to use them for game play, some people will say that you could be "modelling for advantage". It would be easier to hide out of site.

I like your paint scheme. What do you call them?

Yea I see your point, luckily the only people I play with are my mates and they are pretty chilled out, especially as there isnt much size difference.
Im not 100% on the name yet but was thinking of calling the chapter the Sons Errant, but any suggestions are very welcome!

I have no problem with it, just saying others might.

Name sounds good.

It's rather easy. If I were to play you and asked you to treat them the same size as stock, would you have a problem with it?

If your answer is no, then you are not modelling for advantage.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Well this should actually be in painting and modelling subforum lol

BUT these actually look way better than the centurions from GW they look a lot more mobile. They look slightly unfinished but maybe that's just me.

What kind of bits and stuff did you use for this? Posting a tutorial for this might be good for some people! Good Work!

Oh sorry i didnt realise that there even was a painting and modelling subforum! And yea you are right they are still a work in progress, so not finished yet. I still have one more to build so may make a tutorial on that one.
With regards to what they are made from the basic body and arms are from the sedition wars thi suit, but chopped up and repositioned with some green stuff and then some GW bits from a bits store to make it at least look a bit space marine!

These are really good, definitely look more practical than the GW models.
