well ive always wanted to start a khorne army. I know right now with 6th ed assault is pretty much garage but that just gives me time to build and paint my guys. the list I came up with is meant to be khorne flavor and I know its not super competitive.

Hey dude! I'm looking to build a pure Khorne list myself! Glad there's a fellow blood god worshiper out there! Do not despair, I don't think they'll do that bad, a lot of the local meta in my area is prepared for combat armies, you may be pleasantly surprised. Of course, you may also die in a horrible mangled mess of bullets and hell fire, but here's to hoping! I like the list. My only concern is your cultists giving up first blood! My list has some similarities, but I don't own the daemon codex yet, so I have yet to add on greater gifts and such! Let me know if you wanna see it!

plan for cultist is to just camp in back. this would be more of a fun assault army. just to kill things in casual games.

It certainly looks fun. Like I said, a lot of armies aren't prepared for combat armies, since 6th is so aimed towards shooting! Ever thought of mauler fiends? They fit your theme, I think they're a great buy for their points!

Agreed. But they are great can openers if you take them with the standard magma cutters! The 'it will not die' rule makes them a little tougher, as does their speed, but I see your point. Personally I run 2.

I have never had luck with defilers, I personally think either mauler fiends or forge fiends do a better job, but other than that this list looks fun to play! Love khorne and love hacking my way to glory

I could swap out a defiler with a maulerfeind and free up some points.

If bezerkers still had 2 base attacks if take them in a heartbeat. But. With swapping out the defiler I could add some with shifting points around

Personally I love bezerkers as troop choices, though I run them very expensively! (Both points and cost as I use the epic looking world eaters forgeworld upgrades, even thought I HATE modelling with resin!) The issue with them is very simple, if run as foot troops, most armies will make sure they're dead before they hit combat, because on the charge they are very tasty! Which means they kind of should be taken with a delivery system.... A rhino is terrible, it gives up first blood in a heartbeat and with 6th being so anti assualt, they still get out and can't charge. It kind of leaves chaos with one option, land raiders! and then the cost of points gets ridiculous!

There is another option, cultist meat shield! Sometimes works!

would love to fit in beserkers but I just feel the terminators can do same damage and survive longer. if only if only beserkers were still 2 attacks base.

I see what you're saying, they do benefit from rage though. So 1 attack base, +1 for two hand weapons, +2 for charging and they're back where they were. Plus they now have counter attack. I don't know where they would fit in your list though. But you are still really thin on objective holders. Nothing in your force has staying power!

this would be for casual play. just try to kill everything. I know I couldn't hold objectives to save my life! lol

I know you want to keep this a khorne themed army, but if you want to be more competitive then you could consider huron as your warlord.

His wargear and model look pretty khornate imo, and his D3 units infiltrate warlord trait will help your melee squads get into cc faster. Just call him a different name and pretend its a khorne lord.

I'd swap the defiler for a vindicator. That would save you 90pts ish.
I'd also drop the Termies with Kharn and swap them for normal zerkers or csms to go with kharn - Termies are too expensive and I find Kharn will eventually kill everything around him. When I was running Khorne, he used to cost me too many men through rolling 1's. Even though he gets to re-roll them on the first turn.
Try taking a demon prince as your allied HS rather than the 'grinder. It takes some of the heat off the 'thirster
