As per the title! I know I'm weak on troops, but I don't know how to improve that whilst keeping the same punch!

Battle Barge Impossible Fortress

Since this list has a certain theme, I'll comment on the Khornate aspect only: Berserkers are okay when they're taken as Troops.. but when taken as Elites without a Land Raider to go in they might as well not ever be put on the table. They'll be blown away before they can swing since all it takes is a few bad armor saves after they disembark their Rhino.

Yeah, ditch the mauler fiend and go with the land raider w/dirge caster if you want to see the berzerkers in combat

Or 2 squads of berzerkers in rhinos...but it is tough to get them in without getting shot up

Also note the DP in the CSM book is not subject to warp storm stuff...just something to look at

Some flesh hounds will allow you to run down enemies quite quickly and still keep your theme. Zerkers are so situational that they are going to be hard to use in this army. You really need something to tie up the enemy so they can close in. Remember, you can't charge when you disembark from a rhino, and they're only packing pistols, so you're going to need to use terrain and the rhino itself to screen for them. You're going to want a dirge caster on that rhino, as well, to prevent overwatch.

Things I have learned about zerkers. You can give your sarg a combi weapon and a chain axe thus keeping him double armed. This allows them to be useful the turn they get out of the rhino to kill things. Getting out and shooting a combi plasma or melta and throwing a krack grenade from the squad can be great.

Also never give the squad more then half axes to make sure your don't waist ponts on the ones that get shot
