So, I realy liked playing my Necrons, They where fun and my friends liked facing them cus we had close matches but.. I desided to sell them because I feelt I had too many armies, and because I suck at assembly and just couldent assemble the Necrons meaning I had to ask a friend for help every time I wanted a new necron model assembled.. So they are at my friends place now, I was planning to sell them to someone he knows (But it might never hapen cus that person lives far away and has no money..)

And some time later I thought "Hey, Why dont I get a Chaos Daemon army? That way I'l have One Xenos, One Imperium of Man and One Chaos army, Plus i'l have One Shooty army, One Balanced, and one Melee." But as time have gone by, I havent feelt like assembling the box of Bloodletters I bought, I got together one of them and then went "Meh.." And now i'm just not feeling Chaos anylonger..

And today, I rememberd my Necrons, I rememberd how much fun I had with them, And how my friends liked facing them.. So.. Should I give up on Chaos and go back to Necrons..? I still have the problem that I just cant assemble them, I get too frustrated and have to ask friends for help.. But.. They where fun..

I say, play what you have fun with. It seems like you want permission to play with Necrons. I get frustrated putting all my minis together. They look meh. But I have fun doing it.

It looks like you are trying Chaos, but when you get to modelling, it's meh again for you. So I say, go make meh necrons and have fun with them.

You and your friends are having fun with them. You don't need permission to do what you really want them to do.

Also you can never have too many armies. So getting rid of them was your first mistake. We all make mistakes, so go get your Necrons back and have fun.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Ultimately, you need to play what you enjoy the most and like the look of the most. That's what will keep you motivated in this hobby and help keep you from getting burnt out. Despite the fact modeling maybe kind of meh ( I feel you there. I've had my army for over a year now and only a quarter of it is painted) the idea of having something new to try is a nice reward for all your hard work.

And for once I'm surprised this isn't a thread on, "I had to get rid of my Crons because my friends hate all their special rules."So, honestly, this is a another reason to keep them! Its rare that friends like Necrons, I always hear a moan or two when I play with mine

I would go get your Necrons back, and tell your friend, its time for you to play with your Necrons again!

With that being said, if he still does not have his own army to assemble, and paint then he could borrow your chaos . A little bit of tact goes a long way

Cowards will be shot! Survivors will be shot again!

Ive played crons and demons, of the both id stay with crons. Demons take a lot of getting used to and unless they are your main army do not expect to put the hurt down quick. Crons have a little of everything shooting, staying power and the can pull off assaulting if done right. Id focus on the army that makes you happy and get them down to a T. once you have that down id move on.

Thanks for all the replies, I'm gonna tell my friend the next chance I get that I wont be selling my Necrons or building the Chaos army and that i'l just keep the necrons instead. I do miss them. ^_^

Go with the Necrons. I also figured that Necrons are fun to play. They have a counter to almost everything and are hard to deal with by most armies.

I think you'll have a more enjoyable time playing Necrons than CSM.

I'd always try to have more than 1 army, if only for a different way to play.
Necrons and CSM that their own style, and one will never be able to do the same things as the other.

Remember.....this is a hobby for fun, if you have a blast with a certain army choose it, if you have a blast with a certain aspect of the hobby go for it to your hearts content, don't let naysayers bulldoze you into their way of the hobby essentially. Embrace the hobby in whatever way makes you happiest.
