How is this for a starting list:

Base 15pts
pDenny +5pts
MCThralls (10) -5pts
Necrosurgeon and Stitches (1+3) -2pts
Brute Thralls (2) -2pts
Scarlock Thrall -2pts May sub in Ragman -2pts
Levathan -9pts

Will this list do well?

Also Scarlock Thrall can he cast spells without using my caster's focus? Would I be better of taking two arc nodes instead of levathan? Opinions please.

You choose a spell of your warcaster that costs 3 or less and can use it with the Skarlock for free.
And yeah, you really should take arc nodes. They are brutal with pDenny! Although, what isn´t?

I would recommend that you start with the battlebox as it'll give you a nice discount on the models included.

But that list will do fine. As tommse pointed out, she'll make anything good. Part of that reason is the arc nodes though as they allow her to get her spells onto the enemy safely without risking herself.

Yes, I already have the battle box. I am working on building on pDenny. I have been impressed with the MCthralls. I just picked up the levathian/harrower model and I am test playing them. Also considering an Arc node and the Witherstone Combine. I have played one game with both the harrower/levathian and the Witherstone Combine. The last game with the Levathian it got me the assination on the enemy caster. I am trying to open this list up for growth. I know MCThralls are good speed bumps/tar pits. So I am trying to figure out what the best way to build is for my play style. Arc Nodes are important to some casters (pDenny being one of those casters. The witch coven can make use of them as well).

On your note for the battle box. What I am missing for this list above is a four MCThralls. That's it.

I am just looking for a good way to improve them. That's why I am asking for advice ?

Your models are fine and more then a solid start up Going infantry heavy is the way Cryx goes and you´ve got one of the most feared casters around, so you should be golden as long as you take a couple of arc nodes in higher point games!

Tommse - What are your thoughts on Satyxis Raiders with there UA? For when I got to 25 points. I am considering them, I know they are pricy. I am considering either running 2 defilers, more MCThralls and a necro surgeon, Bane Knights, or the Witherstone Combine and a few other points to fill the spot. What would you recommend? I know when I get to higher point games bigger units help and good debuff power helps a lot it seems like for cryx. Our Mat is tipically lowerer than most. So it's harder for us to hit.

I really enjoy pDenny's and Warwitch Siren's Venom amazing spell helped me assinate an enemy caster through jacks because the jacks didn't completely stop the spray.

Thanks for your help.

I´m by no means an expert for Cryx... But I know that Satyxis & the Withershadow Combine are really awesome..
And I have read that people don´t like defilers because they are more expensive than deathrippers and seldom use their spray efficiently.

Thank you for the advice on the defiler. Looking into what the next buy for my army is going to be after I get my MCThralls. I really enjoy the number of attacks they get and just the fact that with the necro-surgeon near them you have to kill 4 in order to destroy one in the unit for good. Makes for a good distraction, and if you let them get to you they will hurt you because of the number of attacks.

For the scarlock, the card is updated in the warroom. Does anyone know what errata they changed the verbage on that card?

They haven't.

The errata can also be seen on the privateer press forums here and there is no changes to the Skarlock's rules.

It probably is that Tinkerhouse Games made a slight error and have corrected it rather than the rules themselves changing.

So the errata supercedes warroom?

Nope, they both should be the same.

2 things.

1. how do you know the card has updated cause I never do?
2. Can you type out the skarlock's card? Then we can tell you if anything has changed.

*Edit:

Attached - Before the start of the game, attach this model to a friendly Faction warcaster for the rest of the game. Each Faction warcaster can have only one model attached to it.

Soul Taker - This model gains one soul token when a living enemy model is destroyed within 2" of it. This model can have up to three soul tokens at a time. During its activation, this model can spend soul tokens to gain additional attacks or to boost attack or damage rolls at one token per attack or boost.

Spell Slave (* Action) - This model must be in its warcaster's control area to make the Spell Slave special action. When it does, it casts one of its warcaster's spells with a COST of 3 or less. The warcaster is considered to have cast that spell but this model is its point of orgin. When making a magic attack roll, this model uses its warcaster's FOCUS. This model cannot cast spells with a RNG of SELF or CTRL.

If your war room card reads like this nothing has changed on the Skarlock's card.
