I played my first tourny yesterday. I knew going in I was going to lose horribly, I've only been playing for 10 months and ran a non optimized Tyranid list. But I won my first game against SM, lost the next to a Nova player with Necron-flier, and barely lost the last against Space Wolves. It was my first time playing all three armies, so I learned a lot.

But it was all worth it for this moment in the first game:



His Landraider rolled up boldly and disembarked his HQ Librarian and Terminators. They assault Trygon Prime, who proceeds to kill all 5 terminators immediately. His Librarian flees, Trygon then assaults the Landraider and pens it and explodes it. He then assaults the next tank pictured below (other tank is destroyed by Hive Guard).



Trygon then assaults the squad that disembarked and destroys them. Meanwhile the perfect Gargoyle swarm occurred with Zoanthrope support to destroy the last tank.

I've never had a game work out that well, especially one I expected to lose against seasoned players. I also won (yet lost) Best Painted because I got the votes but didnt have my bases done, so had to forfeit it. Really enjoyed the day and wanted to share, maybe next time with a new dex and some bases Ill get some more victories!

I rarely win in tournements, well done on your win though! Nice Nids.
