For fluff's sake - I was thinking about putting some termies in my Tau army - as if they had been captured, It seems like a cool idea but I'm not sure how to make it look like they were captured by the Tau, Thanks!

Would you use them as an allied attachment?

I just imagined the Space pope riding around on drone piloted terminator armor instead of the Space hoveround.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

Yes, I would use them as an ally

That's a tough one, it's not very 'fluffy' but you could have chains around their necks leading to the hands of kroot 'handlers'.

Tough one though trying to make it look 'realistic'

Agreed tough to pull off well... I mean they're the emperors finest ('cept if they're Space Wolves) So if they're armed and in terminator suits then I can't see a bunch of kroot keeping them in line. I'd just have them as allies.

I could put black crosses through their insignias, like space marines do when they become renegades - maybe I could model a drone with chains coming off of it to each of the terminators, making it long enough so they have enough maneuverability , or the drone could have plasma bonds on their ankles!

How about you run it so that a drone's disk is plugged into where the terminator's head should be, connected by a slew of wires, as if the drone is being the "Puppeteer" for an empty suit of terminator armor. Perhaps it was looted during a raid on a forge world?

Terminators with Stealth Suit heads?

They'd look robotic and clunky but still have a touch of elegance.

I was thinking either this style or having the drone "plugged" into the back section, since there is a rather large bare space for the drone to attach to.

Ok thanks for all the help guys - I've decided to put the crosses through their insignias and go with the idea of the suits being looted from a forge world, a slew of wires connecting the stealth suit heads to the terminator bodies - thanks for all of your help!

I like the idea of the suits being captured rather than the marines inside them, and then filled out with tau robotic guts instead of an organic pilot. The sensor clusters from Stealth suits, or target locks from battlesuits, would slot into the head socket on a termy model, and from there it's a matter of replacing weapons and adding various support system bits and iconography to show that they've been repurposed.
