You got the physical book and it doesn't list the prices or statlines anywhere?

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

Duuuuuuuude. He's right. The Eight don't have their values listed anywhere in the book. Once this gets around it will be a major debacle. The team responsible for the transition from digital to paper *really* screwed this one up.

And I've ordered the limited edition.

I have the electronic version of the book, and it lists them in the back.

Haha I have the limited codex..... there really are no pt values.

However, the eight are all just commanders using the same point costs for their gear as in the regular tau codex. Just give all their gear to a regular tau commander and voila, you have their pt value..... still funny though.

Yeah I looked thru the paper book..
SUPER let down, only 4 pages have anything to do with changes, and theres no points or anything for it... other than the signature systems

In the ebook version under the entry for Farsights commander team it has this "Full rules and point’s costs for the Eight can be found in the Appendix of this book." After the missions, in the ebook you have a rules appendix. In the print version, the supplement stops after the missions, so its missing what? 20 pages? (ebook pages are formatted different and seem to be about 2 e-pages to a single print page).

well "do it yourself" seems to be the official GW stance.

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in to us. The supplement lists the equipment that each commander carries, but you still use Codex: Tau Empire to add them up and create your army list. The digital version simply adds them up for you.

Sorry for the confusion, but I hope this helps.

Well I mean it's not like the book costs as much as the same codex where it gets almost all of it's rules from except a few pieces of wargear, warlord table, and a few characters. So I totally understand GW taking the cheap route to try and save a few bucks by not making a page or two with the characters and points cost.

I must be missing something... If they're a standard commander stat line, with standard commander gear... what, exactly, is the purpose of including them as special character entries in the first place...?

All I can figure is allowing you some of the standard books Signature Systems while using the Farsight Enclaves and not allying in normal Tau, and the mass of slotless ICs thing.
