This may have been brought up already, if so I apologized in advance (kindly point me to the right thread).

The Beast of Nurggle has D6+1 attacks. This is not a special rule, it's actually in the model stats.

My question is this: how do you resolve the amount of attacks for a whole squad? Do you roll one dice for the squad and multiply for how many models there are? Or do you roll for each beast individually?

My buddy has been rolling for each beast individually, I can't fault him for it since it is in the MODEL stats after all, and there are no clarification that says to "roll once for the unit".

Just curious to see what other people think on the matter.

It clearly notes how you handle the attacks in the Codex. (Page 41 last sentence).

I sold my soul to the devil and now the bastard is demanding a refund!

Sounds like you just need to pick up the codex. The forum can give you advise on how best to use what you have, but it's not a replacement for actually having the codex.

You roll a D6 for each Beast of Nurgle in the unit. There is no other rule in the Beast section saying otherwise. Each model gets the number of attacks in its statline.

Yeah, looks like DeathReaper thought I was referring to the Chaos Spawn.

That said, I have the Daemon Codex, I'm just curious to see how people have been playing that particular unit.

Here is the deal. There is no specific rule that says how you determine random melee attacks but every single other instance of random attacks/shots has always been roll 1 die and multiply buy number of models.

there is even a rule in the rulebook that says you do this for shooting with random number of shots (pg51). But this same rule isn't found in the melee section

As such pretty much everything thing points to "roll 1 die and multiply result"
