The warriors aren't meant to do anything but come in last turn and claim objectives. My main objective is to wipe the table before they need to come in.

Well, I generally take 10 men units of Warriors and Immortals. They are meant to do something in the mid- and end-game.

I did that in my old list. They generally didn't do much. Same with the ghost arks. So i figured swap the GA and the 10 man squads and run as many flyers as possible. never ran into any trouble with the flyers being shot down and they always pulled their weight.

Looks fine.

Small Tweaks you could make if you wanted.

Drop the coms and the 8 man for another Scythe.

or

Drop down to 3 NS with warriors and one 5 man warrior squad

add orbs to your lords, and another 6 man unit of wraiths

or

Just leave it the way it is, nothing wrong with 4 NS 3 AB and 12 wraiths 2 lords with re-rolls to reserves

the orbs are pointless as the wraiths don't have we'll be back. and to be honest, the only reason I'm sticking with 4 NS is I'm lazy and i don't want to assemble and paint four more NS. plus the re-rolling of reserves really appeals to me. lets me bring the hurt faster.

There really isn't much tweaking to do, the basis of every tournament necron list is here, it now comes down you personal preference.


If you prefer 4 NS, no orbs, and a comms relay than there is no C&C to give.

The other builds are there as things that are played hyper-competitively and have had success.

The orbs give you a better chance of getting your lords up which can be a game winning dice roll.



If you really wanted to be "hyper-competitive" you would ally in CSM, the helldrake and daemon price + cultists / typhus + zombies, gives necrons a few extra tricks that they don't have with the pure spam lists.

I'm not a big fan of the whole allies thing. Call me old school if you will. I would do that but that involves too much time and commitment to the game. Right now i would rather add four new models to my collection than to add another army to it.

If your set on the comms and the 8 man squad of warriors sitting out the game behind your aegis there is no c&c possible with the list

There is really nothing anyone else can say about this list, its a standard Necron tournament list. There are no tricks to add if your not willing to expand out of necrons, and you like your current setup in terms of wraiths/scythes/and lord load outs.

The only other even remote possibility is to drop the 8 man down to 5 and add coils to your wraiths.

All options have basically been exhausted on the "hyper competitive" front

Thanks for the good luck wishes. i might be bouncing some ideas off y'all once i play test this list. Also, one quick question.what are your thoughts on void blades on destroyer lords? worth swapping the warscythe for them?

The warscythe is the perfect weapon do not ever change it, str 7 ignores armor (ap1) armorbane with +2 to the pen table.

There is literally nothing the void blade does better than the warscythe.

ok. thanks. the only reason i ask is cause i usually go up against riptides and wraithknights and i thought the entropic strike would come in handy.
