I currently run a destroyer lord with a squad of six wraiths. now my question is this. would a void blade be more effective than a warscythe?

My first question would be: Why would you want to take a Void Blade?
For every scenario where the Void Blade would be a better choice there are probably a hundred plays where the Warscythe is better.

I almost thought it would be better against AV14, but then I remembered the 4 attacks on S7 with Armourbane.

The warscythe just outclasses a Void Blade (and most other weapons) in every possible way, with great strength, AP, and armourbane.

Warscythe is the single best CC weapon in the game. Great vs characters, stupid good vs tanks, great vs MCs, not unweildy, and cheap.

The only time a Voidblade is better than a Warscythe is with Praetorians.....and that's only because Praetorians can't take a Warscythe.

Voidblades are decent in that they are a single-handed CCW, have Entropic Strike and Rending. However, they main role it fills usually is focused on AP2 or Armored vehicles and buildings. In both of those instances, the Warscythe is better since it provides better strength, is already at AP2 w/o Rending, and has Armorbane.

So like I said, the only time a Voidblade is better is when the Warscythe can't be taken....which is in only 1 instance.

That's about right. One more thing: It looks infinitely cooler than a void blade. And I usually don't like when people makes sweeping comments like "best _____ in the game," but in this case, I believe it is true. It is simply the best CC weapon in the game. Take it
