Hey guys
Here is a list I have created to play a fun game against a family member who got me into the hobby but then subsequently moved. We are visiting him, so I thought I would take my Tyranids of HIVE FLEET NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM and go to munch on his squishy, squishy Orks.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
HQ- Tyranid Prime with deathspitter and scything talons, toxin sacs, adrenal glands, and regeneration: 115 points
TROOPS: 20 Hormagaunts with toxin sacs and adrenal glands: 200 points
10 genestealers with scything talons, toxin sacs and adrenal glands: 220 points
Heavy support: Trygon Prime with toxin sacs and adrenal glands: 260 points
Fast Attack: Harpy with Toxin sacs, adrenal glands and heavy venom cannon: 190 points
That all totals up at 985. Not a clue what to do with the remaining 15 points. Just a note: as we are not proxying, the only models I have that I haven't used are a mawlock, 30 more hormagaunts and a Hive Tyrant. the Harpy is a creation I bought off of Ebay.

Drop the adrenals on the Genestealers and Trygon, they're not needed. Run more hormagaunts with no upgrades as a meat shield.

Run the harpy naked, with the stranglethorn cannon. You will want the large blast.

You might consider running the mawloc instead of the Trygon, if you can make do with only one synapse source. If you have the points, take the Hive Tyrant with a stranglethorn cannon instead of the Tyranid Prime - more blasts the better!
