Grand Rapids Metro

Just made my Karamazov out of an old dread...turned it into a giant walking chariot/platform.

I want to play him for the fun of it and am wonding what you guys can come up with for fun units?

Currently I am thinking a Monkey, 3 Multimeltas and a plethora of Crusaders.

Crusaders and crusaders only.
(well maybe some special weapon acolytes. but shove them into a raider.

Roll up, get into assault. and drop the bomb.

totally model one with a shield covering his head.

Edit: woh also forgot one of the assassins that pop out inside a unit.

Karamazov can't enter a vehicle...he also cant move and use the strike in a turn, though he can assault...also remember that gk strikes can hit every turn and alternate between 3 kinds.

Desubot seems to be recommending units to target not to attach Karamazov to.

I am posting without my codex so please correct me if I am wrong but as I remember it Karamazov must target a friendly unit to get no scatter and he does not have split fire. This means if he joins a squad they have to fire at the same target as him...

I always ran him with Laspistol/CC weapons acolytes hunkered in fortified ruins or an ADL/fortification. This gives him lots of spare wounds that are not easy to remove. Another fun thing I have tried is running him with crusaders and possessed so the majority of wounds in the squad are Karamazov's and so the unit toughness is pretty high.

I run a unit containing.
coteaz
3 plasma cannon servitors
2 monkeys
2 plasma gun acolytes
1 melta gun acolyte
4 stormbolter acolytes
and then sometimes carapace armour cause I roll +1 armour save alot.
Works pretty well for me.

Do you ever fire on your own men? Seems like the best use is for the tank killer shot.
