I ended up going more plasma instead of grav guns because of my main match ups are orkz / eldar / tau, but even with the special weapon setups the list should be pretty solid against most armies, the storm talons are there for anti-air.
Should be around 1500 points, didn't add it up but it should not be over.
Thoughts?

You could take some attack bikes with MM with those melta gun bikes
as well you could make a full combat squad instead of filling out slots (that way you can leave some models in your DZ for scoring if need be.

I think it's a flawed premise. Bikes aren't meant to get close. Give them grav or plasma and that's it. Fill-out the rest of the troops with scouts to hold objectives.
Something like this:
+ Chapter Master (Artificer Armour, The Shield Eternal, Auspex, Bike, Power Fist)
+ Bike Squad (1x Sergeant w/ Comi-Grav, Meltabomb; 4x Bikers w/ 2x Grav-Guns)
+ Bike Squad (1x Sergeant w/ Comi-Grav, Meltabomb; 4x Bikers w/ 2x Grav-Guns)
+ Bike Squad (1x Sergeant w/ Comi-Grav; 4x Bikers w/ 2x Grav-Guns)

+ Scout Squad (1x Sergeant; 9x Scouts w/ Sniper Riles and Camo-Cloaks)

idk ... i'm not buying the grav spam beats all mentality that has been roaming the net since the new dex hit taking a balance of grav / plasma / melta / flamers gives you tools to deal with any threat you are likely to face rather than just roll over anything with a 2+ / 3+ armor save. melta is really the only consistent tool for dealing with av 13-14 and flamers are there for ignore cover - mainly to remove pathfinders in my meta (just because these bikes have close range special weapons doesn't mean they have to be up close every turn - they are precision weapons for dealing with certain unit types) the thundefire cannons would be a good addition to the list for table control but it's hard to fit them in without losing your offensive hitting power (which due to low bike model count you really need upfront) at higher point brackets yes, just not sure how to fit them in at 1500. Automatically Appended Next Post: @desubot ... I didn't think about upp'ing them to 8 man units for the combat squad, i'll have to look and see what I can to do tool that up since it could be really useful in certain situations - not sure if the MMs will fit in at 1500 with the amount of points leftover but its worth a shot.

But you come with TL bolters on all bikes, which is why its good to take the grav. it gives you some of the best kill range.
The only thing you would probably have trouble with is no armor MC, as both weapons will probably have some problems (but you also have a bike load of melta bombs so shouldn't be such an issue.)
I like the idea of TFC supported runs, as it also gives you more anti hoard killing power so you dont even need to worry about flamers.

Yeah, if you do the math gravs are best against all targets except for GEQ and you have TwL Bolters to handle them, not to mention TFCs. I'm not sure what targets you're talking about that can't be well-managed be either Gravs or TwL bolters...

gravs are great vs most MCs .... on vehicles your still having to roll a 6 to do anything to them for the hull point + immobilize (which is up for debate until a faq if its 1 or 2 hull points total) plasma vs grav - plasma is better at taking on light vehicles and anything that doesn't have a low armor save (daemon MCs come to mind) - and still comes close to the killing power of gravs anyway just with gets hot! melta vs grav - melta is reliable at taking out heavy armor and popping tanks vs just stripping hull points flamer vs grav - ignore cover ... the only reason why you really even taking flamers I like grav guns as much as anyone else ... they are without doubt awesome but unless its something with a low armor save I don't see it being soley superior and not taking into account what roles different special weapons play. Mathhammer or not 40k isn't played inside a vacuum your going to need different ways to deal with different threats - which is why the list sports a balance between different special weapons Automatically Appended Next Post: two of my main opponents play orks .... taking a full slotted grav army against greentide would be pointless - just saying, spamming one weapon option and not having other tools to deal with threats isn't a good decision.

Going to be magnetizing special weapon options on the bikes (going to drill a magnet into the leg and underside of a weapon so it looks like its 'maglocked' to the model's thigh. Right now i'm converting a bunch of DV bikes with other SM bits to put the force together (luckily just filling off one or two ravenwing symbols) i'm strapped for cash right now so I won't be trying to run full squads until I can get my hands on more bikes. Anyone have any other comments on the list (with leftover points i'll prolly add in SS on the CS / combi-weapons on sgts) before I start picking up storm talons / modeling all of the bikes up?
