Ok, i am looking at eldar for allies, but as i started looking at them more closely i found out they can not Allie with their supplement... so does that mean that they are one is the same... technically always in use... and if not.. lets say i do use the supplement. people are saying online that you cant take the crystal lance on an autarch with the mantel... (only thing i would use from the supplement) lol but the only rules the supplement forbids duplicating are the ones specifically on the "Army Of Iyanden" page. being the warlord traits and everything on page 82. Now the gift page on 83 mentions nothing about that.. infact all it has is that only one can be given to the army so why can i not make an autarch with that beautiful ap 2 lance? if someone could clarify where i am missing the text that takes away the Remnants of glory.

See the Gifts of Asuryan rule in the Iyanden supplement:
"A character cannot choose items from both lists."

it mentions only one may be used from the Army page where the warlord traits are. has absolutely no mention of this on the gift page. all it mentions is that "one each of the following gifts may be chosen per army - there is only one of each in the galaxy. I think people are getting this line confused with the page on special rules on the previous page.

You need the Gifts of Asuryan rule to even be allowed to pick items from the new list for the units in Codex: Eldar. And that rule states a model either picks from the codex relics or the Iyanden specific ones, not both. There's no way around it.
